Deadlines

All applications must be received by September 14, 2007. Early registration ends July 2. The $100 registration fee must be received in order for your application to be processed.

The registration fee will be non-refundable upon acceptance into the program and will be credited toward tuition.

Tuition

Tuition for Central Illinois Farm Beginnings is $1000. This includes nine seminars (40 hours of instruction), five working field days, and a six-month mentorship with an experienced farmer in your area of interest. Tuition also includes books and catered lunch on the Saturday sessions. For students who register by July 2, tuition is $900.

Enrollment

Acceptance decisions will be made on an ongoing basis upon receipt of your full application. All applicants will be interviewed before a decision can be made.

Up to two people in the same family or business can attend Central Illinois Farm Beginnings for each accepted application.

Scholarships

A limited number of scholarships are available for this year's Central Illinois Farm Beginnings program. Applications will be reviewed by the scholarship committee on the basis of need as well as a demonstrated commitment to sustainable agriculture. Some scholarships are available for minorities and recent immigrants. In order to apply for a scholarship, please send us a complete application by September 14.
